Our Tuesday Teacher Feature this week is @susiestokes ⠀ ⠀ Susie started teaching in 2017 at a local barre studio while in undergraduate school. Teaching became her escape from a busy. She loved creating a fulfilling experience with clients, health, music, and a fun atmosphere. After discovering MOD, she knew she had found the exact community she was looking for in Austin. ⠀ ⠀ "The community within MOD is unlike any other. The atmosphere is so welcoming and unscripted. MOD creates a fully immersive client/instructor relationship. It is truly such an inclusive family to be a a part of." ⠀ Susie found barre as her form of physical therapy after a car accident in 2015. She was shocked with how quickly the low-impact workout provided her with strength & results. ⠀ Fun fact: Susie is an artist! You can see some of her work @susiestokesgibson_art Currently, her favorite show is @yellowstone ⠀ ⠀ The energy in Susie's class is electrifying! You can find her at MOD Burnet on Saturday mornings at 9:15. Look out for her name on the schedule more frequently because she is always helping out as a sub!

Kicking off our Tuesday Teacher Feature with our owner & founder of MOD Fitness @marnoduncan ⠀ ⠀ Marnie has been teaching for 13 years! "I love the sense of community and friendships that came with teaching group fitness. Plus it's so fun teaching a packed class! I still get an endorphin rush."⠀ ⠀ She fell in love with barre fitness and how it transformed her body and mind. "It's a low impact workout that you can do your entire life, several times a week."⠀ ⠀ Marnie loves the community and support system we've created in Austin through MOD. "Our classes are dynamic, challenging, and always changing."⠀ ⠀ Her favorite thing to do in Austin is ride their cargo bike around the neighborhood with her 2 little boys. They'll have to find an extra spot to the bike because Marnie has another little one on the way! 💖🤰🏼 ⠀ You can catch Marnie virtually on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9:45 AM.

Our Director of Training @britsbarre is officially on maternity leave...we think (but wouldn't be surprised if she came back for an encore before the baby arrives 😉). Brittany is such a force and an inspiration teaching up to the day before her due date. Let's wish her the best of luck as she enters this new chapter in her life. We can't wait to welcome Baby S to the MOD Squad. MOD is lucky to have you on our team! I think we speak for everyone when we say we will miss you, but our triceps won't! 😘

Hi MOD Family, •After keeping a close eye on COVID-19, we have decided to temporarily suspend all in studio classes - effective 3/17. This was not an easy decision to make and we appreciate all of the ongoing support from our community. •Although we believe staying physically active plays a huge role in being healthy, we have to think about the safety of our staff/clients. MOD will be offering virtual classes, where you can still sweat it out with all of your favorite instructors. Please download Zoom to your smart devices in order to tune in.
